CNN corroborated her account by speaking to the British Consulate and the hospital that Smith states she went for treatment. If Smith is lying, then CNN is complicit in the lie, as well as the British government and the hospital.

her CNN report looks strange. her body language haevily mimics LL, even the description of the events. I believe it but still is strange.
Great. Then nobody goes anywhere and you are pretty much left in the dark. And BTW your argument would also make policemen, firefighters, social workers and soldiers look stupid for choosing the job they did.
What? Look there are several causes of inappropriate perception experiences. Drugs is one thing. But the other thing is a brain tumor. When you see ugly things where most of other people see beauty a serious sickness could be the cause. I just want to advise you to visit a neuro doc soon. It could save your life!
You make that sound like the greatest sin ever. How the hell are we ever convincing ladies that this is okay when you make such remarks? Think of your future sex life.
Greatings EE, I think she might be a crazy logan obsessed maniac (it takes one to know one).
LOL. Concerning US you are absolutely right my friend!
Who made this whole thing up so that she will be compared to Lara. The story is just too much the same. Come on she is a journalism student in tahrir doing a doc on women's rights? Sounds like the profile of an ocd, single white female style, attention hound. She had to be very very well versed about lara to be there doing what she was doing. Its just too much... the blonde hair.. the accent. You have to admit it's fishy.
I am just scared to pass judgement on her and then suddenly it is revealed that she was really attacked and all is true, you know? But i understand what you are getting at. I mean, theoretically she could have even wanted to be attacked to feel what Lara felt etcetera...but i do not feel very comfortable saying that.
The problem is that we have kinda two phenomena in the journalism world right now: Experienced Professionals getting attacked (Logan, Sinz) and Quasi-Amateurs with idealistic agendas (Lindhout, Smith)
a) night (deepest night actually from like 23:00 to like after midnight or even 02:00-03:00
b) Logan was saved by strangers AND then by the military (no colleagues were even present after the separation)
c) Logan likes to be gang raped.
Nobody likes to be gang raped. But sometimes when you are very drunk or otherwise intoxicated you can say the most stupid things. Obviously there are people around to remind you that you talked crap and treat you like the dummy you are.
Logan too praised Smith for speaking out clearly and quickly. "I know exactly what she's talking about and I commend her for going into detail and creating such a vivid description because I think it gives people an opportunity to truly understand how horrific it is and what it feels like," she said. "You have to understand how savage it is to feel truly enraged, to care, and to want to do something about it and at least take a stand."
Right, Lara. We already feel truly enraged by it and we care and we want to do something about it. We take a stand in saying what happened to you was WRONG and INHUMAN.
To be truthful on the "Is Egypt safe?" question, I'm going to have to mention the sexual assaults that have occurred at night during demonstrations in Tahrir Square (CBS correspondent Lara Logan has not been the only victim), the kidnappings of foreign tourists in the Sinai (so far brief incidents with benign outcomes), and the fact that foreigners may be told to fuck off, in English, as I have been by disaffected youths on the streets of downtown Cairo.

and to top that one off:
These things are disgusting to various degrees, but so far they remain isolated incidents. (sic!)

Well I find that she gives a start time locations and good descriptions of what we already know has happened to hundreds of others and increasingly so in the last couple of weeks. She also was attacked at night and CNN varified footage showing the ambulance coming to her aid that was invaded by lots of the crowd preventing her from escape that way. The difference between the two is she had men and women help her and tried to keep the crowd from attacking her and that is also the reported cases of late. I don't think Lara had that kind of help and also think Lara's attack was far longer and far worst then we have been told.

I also noticed how she and the guy she was with describe the mood of the crowd as she got closer to the square and how the crowd pulled her one way and him the other. very similar to Caroline Suez and her description.
Lara Logan, an American journalist who endured a similar assault in Tahrir Square last year, said she believed recent attacks on international journalists -- and on foreign and local women in Egypt -- were directed by remnants of the regime of former President Hosni Mubarak.
Come on Lara, stop blaming the Mubarak regime. You have to call a spade a spade. It was a bunch of Egyptian guys who took advantage of a situation to commit sexual assault.

These assoault/rape has grown and will continue grow due to word of mouth being pass along by these Egyptian DOGS. Each assault bring with it bragging rights for them, and sexual humiliation to these women without any punishment and they all want to be a part of it. They don't need a reason to sexually assault a naked woman that was stripped in the street.

She has good grounds for saying what she says. But it is her tragedy that the reasoning behind it was deemed too dangerous for public opinion and politics. On the other side her outspoken frankness was seldom off. If what she did say about Taliban and Co. was always right why not giving her the benefit of the doubt? I believe her. It was the regime with the help of rapists and harassers that sought to destroy her mentally and psychically - if not kill her outright.

I'm guessing Natasha Smith will receive all the random awards like Lara did? Maybe another $400 a seat speech tour? Come on, let the hand rapes pay off at least financially ladies.

These attacks are copies of laras. Hers was planed. She was deported and defied a male dominated country whom told her not to come back! They did her away from the croud and never harmed her face. So the pictures can show her face. Has she been back? It worked.

Show me a grain of any evidence to back up what you just said. You can't because there is absolutely nothing to support this.
Smiths face wasn't harmed either. It's just bunch of horny retarded men hand fucking chicks in a crowd because they can get away with it scott free. There is no further purpose in it.

It is logan herself who is to blame - she walks aroud like a slut and her message seems to me to be "fuck me please" and then later she calls rape
